The origins of
Kiah Place

Our story

Kiah Place was founded by Nathanael Hubbard, Crissy Hubbard, Scott Maynard, and Erinna Maynard.

Crissy Hubbard started her career in the public mental health sector as a mental health Occupational Therapist. Her desire to offer more personalised therapy led her to study counselling, and ultimately transition into private practice, where she sub-leased space from another allied health practice. When an office with extra rooms in the same complex went up for sale, it provided the perfect opportunity.

Nathanael Hubbard and Scott Maynard, founders of Excite Media, have always been passionate about helping small businesses succeed. Since the early 2000s, they have supported SMEs in enhancing their online presence through digital marketing. Their deep understanding of small business challenges and opportunities perfectly complemented Crissy's vision.

When Crissy found the office space, the founders saw the potential to create a community of allied health professionals. This office became the first Kiah Place, named after Scott's childhood Kelpie, Kiah. Together, they are dedicated to helping other private practice owners start and grow their practices, ensuring they can provide essential therapies to their local communities.
